What is Graduate School?
Graduate school is a major commitment after an undergraduate degree. It constitutes an advanced program of study (master's, PhD) focused on a particular academic discipline or a specific profession. Graduate school is an opportunity to examine a field of your choice with more specificity and direction. Graduate Exams
General Information
Most graduate and professional schools require test scores for admission. The Graduate Record Exam (GRE) General and Subject tests are required by many academic programs (Masters and Doctoral degrees). MBA programs usually require the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT). Other tests are required in other fields such as the LSAT for law school, and the MCAT for medical school.

Graduate School Financial Aid Resources
Many graduate and professional school students are eligible for need-based financial aid programs. In addition to grants, work-study employment and guaranteed student loans are available. Applications are available through campus financial aid offices. Deadlines are usually in March for the following year. Emergency loans may also be available from financial aid offices.
